Clyde Coast Fiddlers comprise players who enjoy playing traditional Scottish music,

as well as music of other genres.

We play fiddles, accordion, flutes, whistles, guitar, cello, bass and keyboard.

We practise every Saturday morning during the season, from 10am till noon in Skelmorlie Church Hall.

We play a number of local gigs throughout the season, including Primary School “end of year” ceilidhs,

Largs Viking Festival, various care Homes and Lunch Clubs.

We usually play twice per year at Cardwell Garden Centre, where we recently raised £1,200 for Ukraine.

We also have an Annual Fiddlers’ Rally in the Beacon Arts Centre (usually in Springtime)

Each year we have a nominated Charity, and much of the money we raise goes to that particular charity.

We are always happy to welcome new members. If you are interested, either contact Judy, our secretary,

or just come along on a Saturday morning, when you will be made very welcome

Our Musical Director (and keyboard player !) is Allan MacDougall.

Allan plays a number of instruments,

and loves arranging music for the group.

Allan wants everyone to try to play to the best of their abilities,

but equally importantly, to enjoy coming along and participating.

He believes it is also important that audiences at gigs not only appreciate

the music that is being played, but also enjoy the experience.

Allan is very shy and retiring (NOT !!!)

Our Leader is Diana McCrone.

Our Secretary (and first point of contact) is Judith Semple
